This is definitely an obscure and lost album, but worth the time to give it a listen.
Very little information about the band or album is online. From what I found, they self financed & self produced the album, and did a good job, IMO.
Mushroom were based in Brooklyn and played extensively around the New York club circuit. The band came to a strange end when an old hotel they were about to play a gig in, while setting up and doing a sound check, they had to rush out of the building because it began cracking & came crashing down…..destroying all their equipment and van.
Mushroom has twin lead guitars, very similar to the Allman Brothers. Some decent blues boogie rock…..
