I suspect that pretty soon they will either need to double back and pick up some older groups or nearly stop nominating.
Sadly there just aren't a lot of new Rock groups rolling off the assembly line.
And if they do there is no real industry for them to rise in.
At this point it's mostly a big yawn.
But I guess I'd still nominate J. Geils Band and Little Feat off the top of my head.
Probably others if I think about it. Are the Ramones in?
They should be. Hell Green Day is.
