All Right Now but I do love me some Rock'n Me too.
I got my gripe backwards. The version that I like is what I believe is the original version, with the proper exit from the solo that goes right back into the lead riff for a few bars, then Rodgers singing "let me tell you, all about it now", and then on to the last verse. (linked below). What I don't like is the version that is heard so often on the radio that goes from the solo right into the chorus again. It will forever sound wrong to me and that's the biggest reason that I voted for Steve Miller on this matchup. 99 times out of 100, I'll vote for almost anything that Paul Rodgers sings on.If it was the single version of All Right Now, you could possibly talk me into it. The longer, album version is SOOOO overplayed on FM/classic rock stations. You would think that Free was a 1-hit wonder with the fact that no one ever plays any of their other music. The band had some great hits that never catch 1 second of airplay.
So, that being said, I'll throw Steve Miller my vote.
