Yeah then my mom would get mad when they tried to make me buy more albums. She would send them a letter saying I was 14 and unable to fulfill a purchase contract.8 tapes for a dollar. How could you go wrong?

I just looked up when Columbia House filed for bankruptcy and it said on August 10, 2015. I was born in 1995, so I never did Columbia House even though I probably could have at the tail end of the company and then it would have went bankrupt and I would have got all the CD's for a penny.

Columbia House would send out letters, but they never really tried to collect. I think it was one big scam for the record companies since selling a lot of albums meant more airtime on the radio, guest spots on TV and most importantly larger venues when touring. That's just my theory, though. I never got phone calls from collection agencies or a bad credit score, and I got tons of packages from them.
