Alice Cooper & Dick Wagner are working on a new horror flick called 'Silas Gore':

    SYNOPSIS:
"Nic Donner is a rock star who hasn’t had a hit in five years. He and his wife, Grace, buy a castle that was once owned by a 60’s rock star – the infamous Silas Gore – who drove his wife to suicide and murdered nine other women before killing himself.

Catbrain Ccastle is now a ruin having stood empty for over forty years.

They settle in and Nic begins composing a rock opera based on the Silas Gore murders – TOMMY and THE WALL meets PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and SWEENEY TODD. To give the music the exact touch of authenticity, Nic immerses himself in the personality of Silas Gore. He wants to see what he saw, to feel what he felt...almost to become the man himself."

where did you come across the information that Alice Cooper has anything to do with this wretched B-movie? I've googled till I'm all googled out but haven't seen anything that would connect him to this production of Shani Grewel's.

Not a great deal to add, except that you can safely file me away as one of those dudes who liked Cooper's 80's "pop metal" recordings the best. I also enjoyed Brutal Planet from around 2000.

I wish I could appreciate the material from Cooper's 70's heyday a little more but outside of the absolute classics, I've just never learned to do that.

I'm glad that Alice managed to have a successful career throughout the eighties and beyond, but for me the stuff he recorded with Glen Buxton was the best. The Cooper/Buxton combination was classic, Glen Buxton came up with the perfect riffs for Alice's songs.

Last week on the Travel Channel's "Man Vs Food" featured Alice Cooper's restaurant in Phoenix 'Cooperstown'. The host,Adam Richman, was there to try ..."The Big Unit" which is a 22 inch long hot dog served on a loaf of Baquette bread & topped with chili, cheese sauce, beer soaked sour kraut, fried onions, bacon, relish, tomatoes, & shredded chedder cheese. The big Unit weighs in at 3lbs!!! If anyone does have digital cable, it is on the travel channel's "on demand" staion so you can watch it whenever you want(It's the Phoenix episode).
Here's a preview of it. (The actual clip is about 5 minutes long & Alice Cooper serves Adam the Big Unit)

...For the record I was at Cooperstown in 2003 when they had a location in Cleveland. A few friends & I were in Cleveland to see Iron Maiden, Dio, & Motorhead & before the show we went to Cooperstown for dinner & I enjoyed it so much that 3 weeks later I returned there with my wife. The place was super cool mixing sports & Alice Cooper memorabilia all over. I thought the food was great especially the ribs.
