Another Last Goodbye is amazing though and my favorite track on the album! I would've been having with just that as the one ballad on the album. That's cool though Riff! You are full of surprises! :heheh:

Id say over the last 4-5 months I developed an appetite for more softer ballady stuff and I actually enjoy some ballads more than the harder edge bluesy material. :)

I'm digging the new CD...there are some places where things need to grow on me, but overall I'm pretty happy with it.

I would much rather spin Toys In The Attic or Get Your Wings but that's just me :grinthumb

It's my favorite too. Steven's vocals are top notch on it. :grinthumb

I really like "Songs From Another Dimension" but I feel as though it could have been trimmed a bit. The standard version is over an hour long and there are a few songs that were just "Meh" to me. Maybe they're grow on me though. We'll see.

Mmkay, here's an curious case for your Benjamin Buttons.....How is it that so many longtime Aerosmith fans can lampoon the later songs from the band and yet the closer to "Toys In The Attic", the album that many of longtime Aerosmith fans consider to be their masterpiece, "You See Me Crying" is just gravy? If you ask me it's just as cheesey of a ballad as "Crazy" or "Angel". I for one don't get it.

Because "You See Me Crying" doesn't sound contrived, commercial and over polished. "You See Me Crying'" sounds ethereal rather than comercial, and it's not cheesey in the least to my ear.

Love this song. So far really loving the new Aerosmith album like I had a feeling I would. Was worth the money.
Loving Oasis In The Night at the moment.

What was that? Where did those hideous vocals come from? That is not Aerosmith in my book. That's just disrespectful to me as an Aerosmith fan of any era. How can they put their name on that and then have the nerve to charge money for it? Those vocals are brutal.

Vocals didn't bug me, I actually liked them personally.

My answer was yes, it's sappy, but the difference is 'You See Me Crying' was written to be heard, not watched.

To me, that gives it a bit more credibility as a ballad.
