Out Go The Lights is a song I never tire of. Fantastic music, love that solo. :)

I must say I am enjoying the album even more a second time and I loved it first listen. Keeps getting better. Really glad I bought the deluxe edition because I love all the bonus songs as well.

Can't Stop Loving You is another one that I like just as much as I did last time.

Shakey Ground is good bonus track. They should have made it part of the album. My only problem with the tune it is they have a ****ing saxophone solo where a ripping guitar solo should be!!!! I like this song because it's the most raw song on the album. Tyler's vocals are great, and I like the funk element.

Both good songs. I'm starting to dig the album too. I guess it's time for me to forgive Aerosmith for the MTV days. The bitch I have about "Out Go the Lights" is that long outro, with the chick's singing; those vocals are corny as hell. They should have just rocked out.

When Nine Lives was released, I gave it a run, and I didn't get anything from it. Couple of good cuts, but overall, I never really got into it.

I've been seeing a lot of praise for Nine Lives in this thread, so, after probably a dozen years, I blew the dust off it and let it play for better than a week in my car.

Gotta be honest. It's not bad, but.......still not gettin' it.

Wasn't the one that got me into Aerosmith but its still my most loved album of theirs. At this stage I have yet to hear an album of theirs I have not loved.

Aerosmith is one of those bands where I actually only like one era of their music. They have been around for a long time and I respect that but I really only enjoy Toys in the Attic, Rocks and get your wings. Toys in the Attic & Rocks definitely have to be their two best albums and perhaps Rocks being their most influential on future music.

I know that Rocks has been listed as a huge influence by bands like Metallica, Iron Maiden and others. It really is a fantastic album. I remember hearing it for the first time (and up until that point my perception of Aerosmith was essentially their poppy/ballady 80s/90s stuff) and I was blown away. Fantastic album. Then, I discovered Toys in the Attic and get your wings.

Most people seem to really only dig one particular era of their sound which I get why. Me though I enjoy all their respective eras, I like their ballads, hard edge stuff, all of it basically.

Any (or all) of you old timers out there have the Rocks on vinyl with the inner sleeve cartoon?

When I lost my album collection, I replaced it, and there was only a white sleeve. Blasted re-issues.

Here it is, and I'm very surprised I found it so easily.
