Re: The Official MOTLEY CRUE Thread

Generation Swine was a horrible horrible pathetic album, everything they did after Dr Feelgood is complete garbage.

I happen to like "Saints of Los Angeles" the most of all of their albums.

Saints is a somewhat decent album I must admit, forgot about that one, was merely referring to New Tattoo, Self Titled, Generation Swine.

Well yeah, those albums aren't so good. :heheh:

I think "Porno Star" is an pretty solid song though.

My bad though I should have been more specific, I forgot about Saints lol
Funny enough that song is the one song I do like on New Tattoo lol
They sounded more burnt out on Generation Swine.

I Like Generation Swine just fine....I thought it was a bold and creative effort.

I could have done withouth the new version of Shout on it, but I LOVE Find Myself. :grinthumb

Re: The Official MOTLEY CRUE Thread

For me, Generation Swine and New Tattoo had a couple of good songs each but they were hardly solid albums.

Evidently, I am in the minority but I thought that the self-titled album with John Corabi on vox was the best collective effort Crue had done since Dr. Feelgood.

Don't even get me started on the poor quality of the "new" songs thrown together for the various Motley Crue best of and greatest hits compilations.

Rarely do I ever confine myself to a particular era for bands as I like to try their experimental stuff but apart from Saints I personally will just stick to their first 5 albums. Might chuck Generation Swine on again see if I change my mind.

I completely agree with Riff Raff with the only exception of Red, White & Crüe .

Decade of Decadence is my favorite album since it has all the best songs from there past albums. anarchy in the UK and kickstart my heart live are some of my favorite workout songs when I'm on the treadmill that give me that extra push.

Re: The Official MOTLEY CRUE Thread

For me, the best stuff from Generation Swine was Find Myself, Flush and Let Us Prey. Find Myself was catchy. Let Us Prey was dark and moody. I liked Flush the best, because even though Nikki Sixx wrote the song, as Vince was singing it, I felt he was being honest with himself. As for everything else on the record? Nah.

From New Tattoo, I liked First Band on the Moon, White Punks on Dope, Fake and Hell on High Heels. Wouldn't put any of them on a greatest hits record, though, except to fulfill the "at least ONE song from every studio album obligation" that a decent greatest hits record usually has.
