Steve Augeri was a good fit. I will agree on that. Arrival & Generations both are top notch. Not my favorites, though.
But the “clone” Arnel can SING…I dont particularly care for Arnel singing Perry songs, but the newer material is pretty darn good. I like the Freedom album.

Arnel can certainly sing. And I was very impressed first hearing him. But live I find him a bit forced and trying too hard kinda thing. Cannot quite put my finger on it. Having said that, after the car crash that was Soto singing, he's ideal. (I actually like Soto, just didn't enjoy the two gigs we saw him do with Journey)

This is the title track from his final band album with 3rdeyegirl. They certainly had their Zep heads on for it ...

Tune! dr wu.... but can't see it.
I guess it depends on how much into jazz fusion and music one is...I hear a tune.
MO is one of the best fusion bands that ever recorded imho.
