I really like it a lot. I'm much like you a huge hardcore fan and while I do consider the first Matt Barlow era to be the cream of the crop along with the Stormrider album I like all of their albums to some degree or another. My least favorite would be TGB . I love Horror Story though when it first came out I was just slightly let down. That however has changed.
The Stu Block era has been a shot in the arm for Iced Earth, IMO. I've really enjoyed all three
icluding The Plagues Of Babylon. Where I rank Incorruptible at this point is hard for me to say. Iced Earth is one of my favorite bands so when I say it ranks behind most of Matt Barlows work that doesn't mean I don't hold it in high esteem. Quite the contrary. ..
Incorruptible may take my top position in my albums of the year list ...I like it that much.
Where it falls in my Iced Earth overall rankings is still a question that will take more listens to determine.
