Im sure a lot of people here like Black, death, and thrash metal which often contain morbid vocals, and brutal guitar riffs. Music doesnt have to be pretty. If we can have scary movies whats wrong with scary music? I think the issue here is close mindedness which I blame for the lack of innovative artist in popular musc today. Also how does industrial music not express emotion?

Closed mindedness has nothing to do with if people like this style. Its that the extreme music variety is definitely not for everyone. I don't think anyone said there can't be scary music and if they did they are morons in my eyes because they can just avoid it.

I drew no lines of what is or isn't anything. nor do I see closed mindedness being relevant. it was simply a statement that some of it may not be considered in a lot of folks norm.
Put the music on the table and get it heard by others if that is your goal. some will like it some some will not. but at least you got them to listen to it.

I honestly do believe a lot of people choose not to like certain types of music or refuse to give it the right chance. A lot of my favorite artists are ones I had to get used to. I didnt really get Can at first but now I bloody love em. Its fun to find music that challenges you and makes you question what can really be done with music. Thank God for people like Pierre Schaeffer.
