It's one of their heavier albums, if not their heaviest, but they still have some of those poppy melodies that are very distinct for the band. Great album!

The first 30 seconds of Stardust had me a little worried, as it has a very poppy sound, but the song takes off really well after that.

I got both Interlude & The Human Contradiction Monday. Only a few complete listens so far, but two great albums.
Interlude has some different stuff going on with the covers. THC is even better, it's great to hear Marco doing guest vox on a couple tracks.

Yep, both are great. The bonus DVD that comes with "Interlude" is worth the price alone, but the CD is also nice with some cool covers, new versions and live tracks (the most interesting part imo). As for "The Human Contradiction", much to my surprise, it took me a couple of spins to get really into it, but now I absolutely love it. "The Tragedy of the Commons" is already one of my all-time favourite Delain tracks!

Agreed that Lucidity is their best album. The only place (as far as I know) to hear a Sharon den Adel/Marco Hietala duet.
It was their most symphonic, but maybe(?) they made a decision to move away from any Within Temptation comparisons.
