Well, one word... WOW!!! What a fantastic concert, I'm still buzzing from it now and it was three days ago
The new album was deeply delved into, as I expected, but playing around a two hour set (although it felt like they'd only been on stage half an hour - time just flew) there was plenty of room for old classics, including a lot of my favourites. Josh Homme is one hell of a frontman, never faltering once despite being ill and medded up to the max, "If it gets a little weird, it’s not you, it’s me"
, Josh informed us. New drummer, Jon Theodore - formerly with The Mars Volta - played up a storm and fits perfectly with the band. It was great to see the age range of the crowd, both young and old rocking their socks off.
What a scorching hot gig by the kings of cool
