Pleased to see another QOTSA fan here

Got an email the other day to say our tickets for their gig in Manchester next month have been upgraded, don't know whether this means they aren't selling very well? Anyway we'll have a better view which is great for us.

Well, one word... WOW!!! What a fantastic concert, I'm still buzzing from it now and it was three days ago :woot:

The new album was deeply delved into, as I expected, but playing around a two hour set (although it felt like they'd only been on stage half an hour - time just flew) there was plenty of room for old classics, including a lot of my favourites. Josh Homme is one hell of a frontman, never faltering once despite being ill and medded up to the max, "If it gets a little weird, it’s not you, it’s me" :heheh:, Josh informed us. New drummer, Jon Theodore - formerly with The Mars Volta - played up a storm and fits perfectly with the band. It was great to see the age range of the crowd, both young and old rocking their socks off.
What a scorching hot gig by the kings of cool

I got to hear their tunes through Tray but didn't really know what to expect live. Anyway I was able to stand back almost as an impartial observer. In all honesty I'd give them 10/10. A truly awesome show from start to finish. What a frontman, this is why we pay the money. A night to remember and no mistake.:cheers2

:) I don't have any in my collection either, I just pilfer Tray's. I was looking at the pics today and she got some good ones. I'm not overly fond of arena's LG but with due respect the crew got the sound bang on.

Those look really good Tray, how far away from the stage were you?

Thanks :) A fair distance, I had my camera on full zoom (18x optical zoom) for the close up shots. This photo may give you a better idea of where we were

^^That makes your photos even more impressive Lady T, you are a goodly way from the stage.

Is that a picture of Josh playing keyboards,,,with a cold beer sitting on top? (Always smile thinking of Rick Wakeman on the Tormato tour, by the time the 3 hour set was over there had to be 8 empties on his various keyboards.:heheh: )
