Former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett will hit the road in the fall in support of his most recent album, ‘Genesis Revisited II.’ The complete schedule is listed below.

The guitarist, who has also been in supergroups GTR and Squackett, will be on tour for three weeks, beginning with two nights in St. Charles, Ill., on Sept. 20. The tour will conclude on Oct. 13 in Collingswood, N.J. Earlier this year, Hackett toured the U.K., Europe and Japan.

According to the press release, the shows will consist of exclusively Genesis material, including such classics as ‘Musical Box,’ ‘Firth of Fifth’ and ‘Supper’s Ready.’

Released last year, ‘Genesis Revisited II’ is the sequel to 1996′s ‘Watcher of the Skies: Genesis Revisited.’ It features Hackett and 35 musicians known throughout the progressive rock world performing songs Hackett made famous during his time in Genesis, which was from 1971-77.

Full details can be found on Hackett’s website.

Saw hackett last nite. Stunning how good he did all these classic genesis tunes. I've seen the cover band "the musical box" a few times and love their shows but hackett blew them away. To hear hackett rip thru these songs and add a bunch of extra guitar parts to these songs awesome. His band did a great job especially the drummer as playing Collins parts is not an easy thing.

Looked like Steve enjoyed it too!

^^^^^ Is that great, or what?

Really enjoyed Chamber of 32 Doors. Only on Dancing now.

I really like Nik Kershaws vocals on "The Lamia". Very different from PG'S but great in it's own right. I LOVE that Steve performs these old Genesis songs that haven't been performed by anyone except tribute bands for YEARS!:)
