^^I don't really like Spade connectors myself, but from the sound of things they might be exactly what you need.

There are a couple other good Danish speakers out there, Dynaudio comes to mind and old vintage Dynaco's had a good following. B&O and Ortofon are both Danish although I'm not sure if B&O makes speakers these days...

VIFA is well respected, they make drivers for quite a few manufacturers, not quite as respected as SEAS in Norway but in the same ballpark at least.

Denmark for a small country has quite a solid pedigree for audio gear.

I wasn't aware that Dynaudio was Danish... Their line have received good reviews.

I won't be getting spade connectors after all... Locking banana plugs are the answer. :nana:

^^Those look much better than spade connectors, the locking feature should keep them in place no matter How loud you play Zeppelin and company.:D

I have a very nice sound card and my ADS 300's for my computer with a Yamaha 5.1 surround amplifier powering them George, they sound excellent not bad considering I bought them in 1979.

My brother is like Lynch, he only uses his PC for listening to music, but he bought a pair of "Audioengine" speakers and is completely impressed with them. Also doesn't hurt he bought a top of the line monster of an audio card as well.

My setup isn't the most spectacular. It's just a mish mash of components I acquired over the years. I have an Aiwa shelf system that dates to probably 1997. The volume knob and CD player no longer work and the tape player is atrocious. I basically use it as a receiver and for my Technics 6-disc changer, and my Audio Technica USB turntable, which by the way I haven't figured out the software for.

I have a Zune which I rarely use. and a lot of my music is live lossless audio which is stored in an external hard drive. So I play it on my computer.

For those of you on a budget, that do use your PC's extensively for listening to music I can Highly recommend these little beauties.

Audioengine 5+ - Audioengineusa.com

Even if you just use your onboard sound card they will sound excellent, you don't need a massive upgrade to get awesome results. My brother has owned a pair for 6 months and if I ever want a pair of powered PC speakers, Audioengine is what I'll buy. You can add a subwoofer later too if you want more bass, flexible, 30 day trial period and free shipping in the US, you can't go wrong with that approach.
