I loved Moving Pictures and Self-Titled. What other albums should I go for as someone who liked those 2?

s/t=1974
MP=1981

I recommend any album in the middle of those. They are ALL crazy awesome. You also might like Signals if you like MP.

I listened to 2112 and A Farewell To Kings over the last day or so. What I enjoyed from each I will say below.
The 2 longest songs on Kings were my favourites in Xanadu and Cygnus X-1. Both captured my attention beautifully. Such amazing songs, 1970s material shaping up to me my absolute favourite prog rock.

As for 2112 the opening song 2112 that goes for 20 minutes was my favourite. Love the diverse sections in that song. It kept me interested right until the song ended. I am quickly seeing why Rush is a beloved prog rock band.

there are alot of casual Rush fans who like "Tom Sawyer", "Working Man", and "Freewill" the best. The real Rush fans like the epics the most (9 minutes or longer and tracks that take up entire sides).

you, my friend, have what it takes to be a huge Rush fan. Well done, dude. :grinthumb

these are the Rush epics you must seek out:
La Villa Strangiato
The Fountain Of Lamneth
The Necromancer
Hemispheres
Jacob's Ladder
Natural Science
Bytor And The Snow Dog

oh yeah, and Rush live is AMAZING!

:grinthumb Cheers. The Rush journey has done more for me as a music fan then even Pink Floyd personally and that was a fun ride too through their lengthiest tracks. :)

I did get a third album the other day Grace Under Pressure, I hope to enjoy that one.
Hemispheres I now have on order.

I disagree with you, I am a REAL Rush fan, had all their albums on vinyl up to "Signals" and Moving Pictures is my favorite record, not only mine but the majority of Rush's fans rate that one very highly as well. It is their masterpiece to me because as a band they had reached their pinnacle in all aspects.

Nice to see you getting into Rush young Rattlehead...I think they are one of the top 10 bands in rock history myself.:D
