Worst album you have?

I respect your opinion but didn't think that c.d. was a bad followup at all! It certainly didn't betray anything the first album set in my opinion!

To this day "Permission to Land" is one of my all time favourites...the second cd just seemed too tongue in cheek. I could certainly see why the bands original bassist had jumped ship claiming musical differences....Hopefully the upcoming release will see a return to form

O.K., fair enough! It's easier to see where you are coming from there. I do prefer the first one but I do feel the second one is not out of the range of what I'd expect as a follow up. The whole retro high pitched over the top style was always a little tongue in cheek IMO. I guess maybe tracks like "Bald" which I actually dug may have pushed that line a little far for some.

Well hope the new one suffices! I love how they are a hard rocking band that doesn't take themselves too seriously!

Well first of all I really like that "Permission to Land" is one of your favorites because it is for me too.

I'm with Sooty though because I don't at all think "One Way Ticket..." is a bad album. I really like it myself. How I see it though and what I usually tell people about it is that The Darkness at their core are a mixture of AC/DC, Van Halen, and Queen. On their debut they were more AC/DC and Van Halen whereas on the second they got much more layer and eclectic and Queen like, which they did fine but it just didn't suit them or their reputation as well.

Also, Frankie was fired from the band. He didn't leave on his own terms.

Got my memory jogged a few days ago by one of George's polls.

This is definitely a candidate for the top 10 worst records I ever bought..."I'm In You" by Peter Frampton. This marks the absolute nadir of his music career.

Considering it followed his magnum opus "Frampton Comes Alive" I am hard pressed to come up with another artist who fell that Short of the mark after getting so many accolades for the previous album.

Well they're the highlight of it for me.

And yes, it always has baffled me how he hit it SOOOOO big with "Frampton Comes Alive" and then flopped for everything else. I honestly can't think of anyone else who fell harder career wise than him.
