I wouldn't throw an album away even if I didn't like it...I would take it to a 2nd hand shop and give it to them or trade it for something else...after all why throw money away if you can get something back for a dud album.:grinthumb

Charity shops!!! I probably would give them away so they can raise a bit of money for good causes rather than sell them for like a dollar or a £ each, which I wouldn't even notice unless I was selling boxes full of them.

Too many to count, particularly in the porno grind category. The kind of albums they only made 10 copies of with impossible rates of finding via the internet, Ebay, or even the deepest depths of the shit-filled sewer. Rarity is why they remain in my collection.

It really depends on how bad the album was that I purchased. Had I been idiotic enough to have bought a Lulu or Illud first before listen then I would have already sealed its fate in the dumpster about to go to the tip. :grinthumb

If it was an album that was not horrible but I can't get into then I will trade it in or just give it to someone who does like it.

U2 - No line on the horizon.

It seems U2 discovered a cure for insomnia .

Usually once I've determined an album is a real clunker, if it's a CD I try to re-sell it and get some money for it ... vinyl gets re-donated back to the thrift shops. I'm big on the whole recycling and being green concept even if I think the "music" itself is truly wretched. :D

Off the top of my head ... and I probably have worse that I haven't gotten around to listening or forgotten ... Queen - Hot space both vinyl and CD just because ... well for being a Queen studio album completist. The post-Hysteria Def Leppard albums that I have. The latest clunker I've "discovered" but am keeping "just because" would be Queensryche - Tribe.

Yeah "Hot Space" is a good call for terrible albums. I have Hot Space becuase i too am a Queen comletist.
Other bad albums that i own becuase i "collect" certain bands include:

George Harrison - Dark Horse
Paul McCartney - Driving Rain
Van Halen - III
David Bowie - Buddha Of Suburbia
Elton John - Victim Of Love
Rolling Stones - Dirty Work
Aerosmith - Rock In A Hard Place
Led Zeppelin - Prescence (i know a lot would disagree with me on that)

They are a few off the top of my head, all rock comletists have to endure duds like the above taking up precious room. Lol.

I agree with your list, you nailed it. As far as the Zeppelin thing goes; all a matter of opinion. My personal opinion is that it's definitely one of their clear weaker albums in comparison to their albums behind it.

It has to be Rick Derringer and Friends King Biscuit Flower Hour from 1981......I`m trying to listen to it now just reassure myself that I actually hate this album! :wtf: I can already tell ya that I aint gonna make it all the way through it....again! Dr. John and Edgar Winter can`t save this one!

I have not a clue what that could be but the name alone will keep me from wanting to know.
