Re: The Official Rolling Stones Thread!!!

Just picked up the Singles Collection: The London Years comp. Well worth the hefty price tag. Blows Forty Licks (which is what I was replacing) out of the water. Basically you sacrifice a couple of good singles (Start Me Up, Shattered, etc.) from the 70s/80s for a whole bunch of good ones from the 60s. It starts at the beginning, and I think it stops with Sticky Fingers. The most complete and the most relevant Stones compilation I know of.

Brian Jones era is my favorite!

Jagger with Midler...Beast of Burden. Campy yet fun!

Richards and Wood with Aretha Franklin...Jumping Jack Flash!

'Nothin like The First Lady of Soul to sass it up just right!

Currently rocking out to Parachute Woman, simple 12 bar blues! Such a great track.

I was browsing in the magazine section at the grocery store this morning and almost fell over. I picked up the latest issue of GQ and there it was, three men on the cover and one of them was Keith Richards. KEITH RICHARDS IS ON THE COVER OF GQ MAGAZINE!!!!! I never thought I'd see the day.:omg:

Saw that too last night. He was on it with Eminem and if I remember it correctly Jimmy Cliff. Richards wasn't sporting his usual pirate cum bohemian garb. The Human Riff had on a more conservative ensemble with a nice fedora.
