No, your guys. If i didn't know the guys I mentioned, I obviously wouldn't have mentioned them. Yeah, a lot more people voted than me--and they voted for rockers!
i think you made a wrong left turn somewhere--you're lost--in cyberspace, and mentally.
You admit to not even knowing who Wilson Pickett is and then make a comment like this. I'll hand you one thing. You're certainly informed.
you obviously don't proof read your own posts do you? And you brought race into this, not me.
Only to state that rock and roll is more than a bunch of white guys. You've pretty much justified my statement with your continued arrogant and ill-informed responses.
Stop crying at every opportunity and spare me your liberal drama. your PC psycho-babble doesn't intimidate me--not in the slightest.
This is just beautiful. I'm neither a liberal nor do I believe in political correctness. You really just don't get it, do you? It's not about quotas. I've said that over and over. I wouldn't expect a bunch of soul singers on the list. I simply made the observation there wasn't a single one and you have to get defensive over it.
You know what? Who cares that this is a classic rock board? It's not even a remotely valid point. During the classic rock years, rock radio playlists were littered with soul hits. The Billboard Hot 100 had soul all over it. Their album chart was full of soul records. You can't really say that about bluegrass, another genre that someone else mentioned.
Sammy is obviously a reference to Dean...To satisfy you, I had to get my quota in now didn't I?
I was talking about soul music and not merely mentioning people because they're black. The person who mentioned Howlin' Wolf not being on the list has a good point. But I didn't bring him up because he was predominately a blues artist and that wasn't what I was talking about.
