Abraxas posted a cool cover of Lord Of the Thighs in his awesome journal, and it got me in the mood for the original:grinthumb

Tyler was on with L.A. deejays Mark & Brian yesterday promoting his book and new single. He mentioned how the band is booking some studio time for new material.

Re: The Official Aerosmith Thread

I love the '73-'82 era, and Mirrors aint that bad but I dont listen to it very much.

I think the trifecta of "Get Your Wings", Toys", and "Rocks" are as good of a three year period as any 3 year period for any band in Rock history. They are that good.

People think I'm nuts but I like "Night In The Ruts" more than "Draw The Line".

I'm not really a fan of that Greatest Hits album, they chopped way too many of those songs up.

This is a pretty cool song off the Nine Lives album which is not only about a female named India but has Hindi touches to the music:

Taste of India

I already know you are a massive Aerosmith fangirl but it REALLY shows when you post the original Nine Lives cover instead of the revised piece of crap! :heheh:

The original cover art angered some Hindus, who felt the artwork (taken from Hindu imagery and altered by giving the dancing figure a cat's head) was offensive. The image depicts Lord Krishna (with a cat's head) dancing on the head of the snake demon, Kāliyā, a popular episode from Sagmeister's childhood. The band had been unaware of the source of the artwork, and the record company apologized, and changed the artwork to a revised version.

vvv This just sux by comparison vvv

Oh man...I just ran to my collection to check my version. Whew...it is the ORIGINAL cover. I think I bought it after learning of the controversy.
