Well it was like in '96?? Yoko had drawn up an agreement to give Julian and Sean equal split on John's solo works

:heheh:

In the end though....Sean got the bigger end of the deal no doubt and though it's more of an issue about love than it is money...Julian is doing ok financially...outside of the emotional end of things, physically he didn't have to struggle like the average person.

When he was born the Beatles had just hit big as well. The touring began and this was John's source of income. Cynthia he married due to the fact that she was pregnant and he was never really "in love" with her...or at least that's how I've always seen it.

Not that it condones any sort of behaviour in regards to your child cause it doesn't.

Yeah even if John wasn't "in love" with Cynthia he still should have loved Julian, he is his own blood...

He loved him...I think after the divorce and the move in '68 it was uneasy...that doesn't make it right again. He moved from London to New York. Divorce is not a pretty thing, not even among celebrities.

You can read Cynthia's thoughts on the whole matter here.....as she states...she tries to let Julian know that John did love him..from the letters that were written, ect.

I'm glad Cynthia is telling Julian that John loved him. Who knows some ex-spouses can get pretty mean!

Seems as if she blames drugs...as she says this was John's path...but she's showin' no signs of love for Yoko. I think the only thing that made John a bad Dad for Julian was weakness. He's not the first or the last man on this planet to become weak after re-marrying.

"Yes Dear" :uh:

Didn't read through the whole thread to see if he'd already been mentioned, but Mike Love has never impressed me. Bad-mouthing The Rolling Stones at his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, assorted law suits against other members of The Beach Boys...not classy moves.

Since this man wasn't mentioned yet, I think the king of the ultimate jerk title has to go to Joe Jackson. He may not have been a successful musician but he lived vicariously to the T through his sons. He ruled the Jackson Five with an iron fist literally! He's abused them and treated them like dogs! He even thought that he could get his hands in the pot when he managed Janet at the start of her career. I can imagine how furious he was when she dropped him as her manager. Plus to my understanding, Latoya once accused him of sexual abuse. While she's not there in the brain, it would not surprise me if that was true. I do not condone Michael's behavior in his adulthood but I believe the way Joe treated him had to have pushed him over the edge. The man was an absolute snake!
