REP: NO PLANS FOR A STONES TOUR
This News Is Brought To You By VH1’s Dave Basner

Keith Richards recently told the BBC that The Rolling Stones will likely tour next year and work on new music after the holidays, but now, a spokesperson for the band is denying that the group has any plans to tour or record in 2011. The told England’s The Guardian, “There are no concrete plans for The Rolling Stones to tour. The same applies to rumors that they are going into the studio soon to record a new album.” Of course, just because they don’t have “concrete plans” doesn’t mean it won’t happen! They have no need to ever go into a studio again. Just tour every so often as age allows and bring the oldies to the fans.

I think the timing of all this might have something to do with Keith and Mick's relationship right now, especially after Richard's slagged him in his book.

Makes no difference to me, I got to see them in 1995 I think it was and I agree with Lynch they don't really need to record any more albums.

Great post GM...:bonk:

Although I like the Stones, I see no reason they need to release any more albums, especially seeing the firestorm over Richards basically calling Jagger out in his book.

I would say it's going to take a while before anything happens with the band, unless they need more money.

Well, as a Stones fan, of course, I'd love to see them record a new album and tour.

Why would any Stones fan not want that?

I guess this is considered good news to some...fans?

^^Don't you think the shitstorm surrounding Keith and Mick is going to have a permanent effect?

I am ambivalent, if they release another studio album of new songs, fine, if they don't fine, same goes for touring. I have seen them live and don't need to see them again, time is running out after all so the end will come eventually.

Shit storms come and go, LG. Infact, a shit storm is good publicity, makes the masses curious about how the band will interact on the next tour. People love dirt, yanno :D

^^Not me, I could care less but no matter what if it was premeditated by Richard's for massive publicity if I were Mick I would punch his lights out the next time we met. Some things go beyond generating a "Buzz".

I wouldn't go if they did tour here again anyway, I would bet yer tractor they sounded better in '95 than they do now.:D
