Re: Steely Dan

I'd have to look. I'm not sure about the b-sides but I know I've founded up "FM", "Reelin' in the Years", "Josie", and a few others. I rarely play my singles, so I have no idea what the hell's in my collection half the time. :heheh:

When you start working again get a modest cassette deck and record your 45's to tape and play them...that is what they are for after all.:D

There are Tons of nice decks on e-bay, and some have been rebuilt and will last for years. I almost bought a Pioneer and Akai deck three years ago, both models were among my favorites from the 70's.

I still use mine, some old albums I have taped and keep the vinyl stored and just play the cassettes, they sound better to me than any MP3 does.

Re: Steely Dan

Admittedly, I have a bunch of cassettes I've collected over my life.

I haven't used any of them in like two years. But I love them. I haven't the heart to get rid of them.

I'm also hoping to start an 8-track collection. :D

You should keep them Lady, a lot of old timers consider cassettes to be better than CD's, when it comes to the music from the 60's to the 80's at least. I am not sure I would go that far but I enjoy playing around with my tapes, vinyl, CD's and DVD's.

Yeah I am an addict and I need help...:lmao:

Things will improve for you I'm sure, then you can catch up on what you've been missing. There are always collectibles being sold all over the place now, it's just a matter of timing and knowing the market and you can get whatever you want at a good price. I am amazed at some gems I have found in pawn shops in the big city...for a buck a piece.:D

Re: Steely Dan

When people get rid of their old stuff they are happy to do so, and their loss is our gain. We have some good second hand record shops still around, but they are disappearing slowly over time, but that still leaves all the online sources to fall back on. It's nice to have options.
