Re: Steely Dan

^^Smart move. I bought special protective plastic covers for my records, and Angel sleeves for the liners as well to try and keep them in mint condition as long as possible.

Re: Steely Dan

LG, I get a sense that you have a large music collection.

Vinyl was my religion 'back in the day' (flyfishing as well) and my bible was the Osbourne Record Price Guide. I see there is an 18th. edition I had up to the 5th. edition.

Pete Frame's Rock Family Trees was another great volume set.

LG, that's the wrong guide. I couldn't find an image of his first edition. Oh well.

Man, am I ever screwing up.:bonk: It was the 'rockin' records' guide not the one above. Time to go home.

^^Nice to see you are a fan of theirs too Lady.:D

Joe...I don't know what to add to your running commentary except...:heheh:

No worries, I have done worse than that in my time online.

As for my collection, it has grown over the years and I have to look at it to remember exactly what albums I have, years ago I could rattle off the whole works no problem at all. That is the price of "Hoarding" all this music and the pile keeps getting bigger.

Just within the past year or two, actually. My sister can vouch for my Dan-madness, hah. She was present when we visited a record shop and I bought a bunch of their singles. ;D

^^Which singles did you purloin Lady? And do you play them or keep them safe and just take them out handle them a little and put them back on the bookshelf?...;)

Re: Steely Dan

I'd have to look. I'm not sure about the b-sides but I know I've founded up "FM", "Reelin' in the Years", "Josie", and a few others. I rarely play my singles, so I have no idea what the hell's in my collection half the time. :heheh:
