I remember going into a record shop and asking them to play a bit of the new Nugent album, " Craveman" after 5 minutes the manager came running out and said get this off now. I purchased the album!!

Re: Ted Nugent

Just found the Uncle Ted Thread...I was only 15 when I saw him at Hammersmith Odeon and it was like being belted in the face with a plank of wood I was stunned. He is one of my heroes. Double Live Gonzo is a must for anyone.

Haha...that's great! Love the way you put that. :grinthumb

I've seen Ted 4 times...and everytime was an experience.

I've seen Ted on DVD....but somehow it's not the same.

You gotta go see him LIVE IN CONCERT.

I LOVE Ted.

:grinthumb Another great story...

Crave
Rawdogs and Warhogs
Damned If Ya Do
Cum N Gitya Sum-O-This
Change My Sex
My Baby Likes My Butter on Her Gritz
Sexpot

All are great songs....hard and raunchy rock and roll!!!

Re: Ted Nugent

^^ GM I met a guitar teacher in my local music shop when I was buying a Fender Amp a few years back and we got talking about Ted. This teacher then plugged in and ripped out some fantastic Ted Licks then said "Actually Ted changed my whole attitude towards what can be done with the guitar."

Re: Ted Nugent

:grinthumb I have the classic Double Live Gonzo in my collection and I always welcome any new neighbours I may get with the sound of Ted saying " anyone wants to get mellow they can get the F!%k out of here" :oyea:. :cheers2 Bryter.

That's Carmine Appice on drums in that video. This is right around the first time that I saw Uncle Ted play live in Springfield, Il. It would be another 22 years before I got to see him in our shared hometown of Detroit on 12/29/04. Here are some pics from that show (it's the Palace of Auburn Hills)...

This was one of the best shows I've ever attended. Hands down.
