Cheeky young thing!!

I didn't vote because each decade has it's fair share of good music.

Denial is the worst part:D:heheh:

On a more serious note, I agree they all have good stuff.. it just depends which has more of an effect on me.. I like plenty of bands from each decade, but my top favorites all flourished in the 70s..

Take the 3 top selling artists of the 60's and the three top selling artists of the 70's and the 60's would be more.

This song just made me reconsider my vote (the 2000s) ...

Well, Disco Duck is goofy, no doubt....

:heheh:

But, it's supposed to be goofy....

The 2000s was full of boring dull music by artist who weren't trying to be dull or boring...

so, there's the big difference.

I know, I was joking.

The 2000s are shit. Rap/hip hop is the most popular music right now. Thats enough to prompt my vote.

Oops, I voted before I read the original post, but gawd, I just CAN NOT STAND a whole lot from the 80's. Everyone wanted to look and sound like Zeppelin or Duran Duran (urp) and the radio in those days was sooooooo.....playlist-y....I swear I heard That's All by Genesis 9 times in one day! I'm also still very burned out on The Boss for the very same reason.

Also, the techno everything, synthesizers, drums, all sounded just too tacky to me. Too fake. =P

Plus there's no reason why all music has to take itself seriously. There's nothing wrong with music just being good (silly) fun.

:D

Agreed but if that statement is to be held true it should make just as much sense that people listening to modern pop acts are thinking the same way but get criticized in the same vein. People listen to newer pop artist like Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, Pink, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Rihanna, etc. for the same reasons. :)
