Oh god! Spare me John!! Nice painting Yoko as a victim that can't see here daughter. Maybe Yoko's ex knows something we don't. Hmmmm????? I've never heard of a mother being kept from her daughter/son if she wanted to see them. It's usually the guy who gets shut out by the courts. Or, Yoko didn't really care because Kioko wasn't the daughter of am insanely famous rocker.

Also, I heard (per Cynthia Lennon) that Yoko called Cynthia Lennon, and informed her that from now on, she, Yoko, would communicate to Cynthia about Julian, and John was going to be the one who communicated with Yoko's ex concerning Kioko, Yoko's brat. Cynthia told Yoko to F her self basically. I know John was weird, and he too treated Julian like crap (maybe he deserved Yoko after all), but Yoko is major league bazaar.

Didn't Tony Cox (Yoko's ex) disappear with Kyoko and join some sort of cult for a few years? It's a miracle kids of famous people can lead normal lives after what their parents put them through.

Yes, HE IS THE ONE WHO VIOLATED the courts NOT Yoko..she was awarded custody of Kyoko ..he KIDNAPPED her and ...well read this from Wiki :

In 1956, she married composer Toshi Ichiyanagi. They divorced in 1962 after living apart for several years. On November 28 that same year, Ono married an American named Anthony Cox. Cox was a jazz musician, film producer and art promoter. He had heard of Ono in New York and tracked her down to a mental institution in Japan, where her family had placed her following a suicide attempt. Ono had neglected to finalize her divorce from Ichiyanagi, so their marriage was annulled on March 1, 1963 and Cox and Ono married on June 6. Their daughter, Kyoko Chan Cox, was born on August 3, 1963.

The marriage quickly fell apart but the Coxes stayed together for the sake of their joint career. They performed at Tokyo's Sogetsu Hall with Ono lying atop a piano played by John Cage. Soon the Coxes returned to New York with Kyoko. In the early years of this marriage, Ono left most of Kyoko's parenting to Cox while she pursued her art full-time and Tony managed publicity. After she divorced Cox on February 2, 1969, Ono and Cox engaged in a bitter legal battle for custody of Kyoko, which resulted in Ono being awarded full custody. However, in 1971, Cox disappeared with eight-year-old Kyoko, in violation of the custody order. Cox subsequently became a Christian and raised Kyoko in a Christian group known as the Church of the Living Word (or "the Walk"). Cox left the group with Kyoko in 1977. Living an underground existence, Cox changed the girl's name to Rosemary. Cox and Kyoko sent Ono a sympathy message after Lennon's 1980 murder. Afterwards, the bitterness between the parents lessened slightly and Ono publicly announced in People Magazine that she would no longer seek out the now-adult Kyoko, but still wished to make contact with her.

Ono and Kyoko were reunited in 1994. Kyoko lives in Colorado and avoids publicity

I don't get where people claim that Yoko didn't try to find her ? She did..she spent many years and much money looking for her ..
John tried to help her
he cared about her AND Kyoko...
I read many books about this and both sides acted immature...Yoko is no Betty Crocker..thats for sure...i don't believe she never loved her daughter or cared about her tho ...

It was a wild story!! Cool they were re-united.

Also I don't get all this "Yoko wasn't into Julian deal"

Has anyone seen the Imagine movie?? An 11 year old Julian playing around on their 99 acres. People seem to think he never got to visit. Cynthia had custody...sure...but c'mon. They were divorced. Of course John was gonna be more of a part time Dad since Cynthia and he didn't stay together.

Also for anyone just tuning in..this thread is about John Lennon's Murderer Being Up For Parole August 9th

Yes, I'm sorry I was answering Sunny's question...I'm not a Yoko lover by any means but I'm not a hater either

As far as Cynthia goes...she is still bitter after all these years. But Cynthia was a single mum raising a young boy and she didn't get alot of support from John . I mean as a parent. So I give her some slack. {btw ,Cynthia has been married 3 times since John and some of those stepfathers were total bastards to Julian..} but both Julian and Sean have bonded and move on with their lives, they had parents with issues on both sides and I'm glad that they we're able to overcome their parents and find some peace. Afterall , they both grew up without their father...

Yoko was a complex person and I think also her culture was never encouraging to be a nurturing parent.

John was a deadbeat dad with Julian in someways BUT I believe he tried to be a good father..he is not any different then MOST divorced parent...Plenty of unfamous fathers NEVER see their kids, treat their kids poorly, and crap on the mom..

but back to the original subject:

As I stated before..Mark David Chapman gunned down a man in cold blood. In front of his wife..in a public place, where others might be harmed..and he went to jail for the crime..I don't care if he's famous or not..thats the facts

He took a life..he surrenders his ..thats fair and just.Just coz he reads his bible and says I'm sorry doesn't erase the fact that he killed someone. He stalked and planned the murder out...

He belongs in jail and if theres doubt he'll do it again,,thats where he belongs.
I don't personal hate him ,i do hate what he did...but thats the facts imo

if there were a death penalty..in his case ,Since we're postive it was him...fry him. Not cos he killed someone famous, but why harbor a criminal ..thats what he is..

Premeditated murder is the crime of wrongfully causing the death of another human being (also known as murder) after rationally considering the timing or method of doing so, in order to either increase the likelihood of success, or to evade detection or apprehension.[1] State laws in the United States vary as to definitions of "premeditation." In some states, premeditation may be construed as taking place mere seconds before the murder. Premeditated murder is usually defined as one of the most serious forms of homicide, and is punished more severely than manslaughter or other types of murder - often with the death penalty or a life sentence without the possibility of parole.

"Premeditated murder" was first brought into use in the 1963 trial of Mark Richardson, in which he was found guilty of murdering his wife Cindy Cleave. Richardson had plotted his wife's murder for three years from the time that they were married. He was found guilty of premeditated murder and sentenced to life in prison.

In the U.S, Federal law criminalizes premeditated murder, felony murder and second-degree murder at Title 18 United States Code Section 1111

Julien doesn't hate his dad, but he sure paints a pretty bleak picture of his relationship growing up without his dad...

Here's what the All Music Guide said about Yoko and her music and I think it's pretty much spot on.

'Few women in the history of rock & roll have stirred as much controversy as Yoko Ono. Although her romance with John Lennon was hardly the only factor straining the relationships between the individual Beatles, she made a convenient scapegoat for the group's breakup, and was repeatedly raked over the coals in the media for the influence she held over Lennon, both in his life and his music. Ono's own work as an artist and musician didn't mitigate the public's enmity toward her; to the average man on the street, her avant-garde conceptual art seemed bizarre and ridiculous, and her highly experimental rock & roll (which often spotlighted her primal, caterwauling vocals) was simply too abrasive to tolerate. That view wasn't necessarily universal (or true), and in fact the merits of her work are still hotly debated. Regardless of individual opinion, Ono has left a lasting legacy; she was an undeniably seminal figure in the history of performance art, and elements of her music prefigured the arty sides of punk and new wave (whether she was a direct influence is still debated, although the B-52's did admit to drawing from her early records). Moreover, between Lennon's assassination and the myriad drubbings she's taken in the press and the court of public opinion, an alternate portrait of Ono as a strong, uncompromising survivor has emerged in more recent years.'

Right, this how I feel he deals with things..He is a strong man, I admire him .

He's had alot of substance abuse over the past few years, and it was fueled in some part by the demons left behind ,dealing with John live or dead..

He realizes he can't dewell on hate..he has is own life and he choses to live it rather than blame others for it not being perfect.

This happens to ALL children of divorce rich n'famous or not..

I think the worse crime of John's murder was they were robbed of the chance to mend things or AT LEAST try to..no one knows what would have happened

Mark David Chapman..took that chance away...:(
