If I was Chapman I'd be saying "don't let me out, don't let me out." It's simple statistics... if there's one guy crazy enough to kill somebody that the whole world loves... how many crazy people must there be who are ready to kill somebody that the whole world hates?

Folks like Chapman, Sirhan Sirhan, and Charlie Manson, whose crimes were relatively minor (I mean, killing 1 person, or convincing others to kill people, things that wouldn't actually get people life sentences these days) are never going to make parole if for no other reason than the high profiles of their crimes. It could easily be argued that none of them present all that much of a threat to others at this point, but others certainly present a large threat to them.

Although, personally, I'm still rooting for ole Charlie to get out, just because I'd like to see what would happen.

Don't want to see Chapman, or anyone else who has killed someone in cold blood, ever get out of prison to be perfectly honest.

Have no sympathy for twats like them.

i like john lennon
buts its disgusting that people regard one persons life as more important than another persons.
there are most likely people who shot people in 1980, who were parolled long ago. mark david chapman deserves the same justice as the next person.

and to be honest i dont think murderers should ever be released, but like i said there has probably been murderers who commited their crimes in 1980 who have long been paroled.

just because someone wrote brilliant music, and was a member of a classic "pop" group. doesn't mean their life is worth more than say a guy who works at a factory
