Just picked up Rust In Peace yesterday after reading the Megadeth thread.:D

I will play it later or tomorrow, I like to have a couple of Pops when I play metal...not get loaded but just relax a bit and let the music soak in a little more.:D

Hair band was a term that always confused me too. Most all metal bands had long hair or unnacceptable hair against the norm.

If we're talking make up and glam? More acts besides hard rock bands had this going on in the 80's. See Kajagoogoo :heheh:

To me it was just an all around pop look in the 80's and imo did not define the music a band played. No different than artist having duck tails and greased back hair in the 50's

I have to agree, hair bands could apply to most Death Black Doom metal bands as well as the 80's groups.

I haven't played their stuff a lot, but I think the Smiths are a good band. Kind of gloomy subject matter as far as their songs go, but one of the better groups from the 80's.
