okay here we go, i tried to limit myself on Neil Young songs because i felt he would just dominate this list if left unchecked

These Dreams of You - Van Morrison
Videotape - Radiohead
Borrowed Tune - Neil Young
Long May You Run - Neil Young

All Things Must Pass - George Harrison
Let It Be - The Beatles
Photograph - Ringo Starr
Give Peace A Chance - John Lennon

I'd need all 4 Beatles singing one song, wouldn't be right other wise. And I'd finish on a message of peace, because like Lennon I wish for the world to one day know peace.

Re: What would play at your funeral?

When I first heard this song, I wanted it to be one of the songs played at my funeral: Boyz II Men - It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday

How do I, say goodbye, to what we had?
The good times that made us laugh, always come back, ohhh

If we get to see tomorrow,
I hope it's worth all the wait,
It's so hard, to say goodbye, to yesterday.

I don't know, where the road, is going to lead,
All I know, is where we've been, and what we been through, oooh,

I thought we'd get, to see forever,
But forever's gone away,
It's so hard, to say goodbye, to yesterday

And I'll take, with me the memories,
To be my sunshine after the rain,
It's so hard, to say goodbye, to yesterday

---

But more and more in recent years, I've come to a point in my life where I do not want a burial or a funeral. I've been to quite a few that I find somewhat appalling, disgusting and they seem to be more of a social event than anything else. So... have a social event when I die. Buy a keg of beer, a case of whiskey and tequila, put up a picture of me holding a beer in one hand and flipping off the world with my other hand, shit eating grin on my face and remember me for who I was, not how I ended up.

I'll leave it at that for now. Going any further would be a topic unto itself.
