Re: That Little Ole Band From Texas~ZZ TOP
I really don't have a favorite ZZ Top album, but they do have enough great songs on iTunes for me to compile an 18 song 'best of' cd.
Favorites tunes are "Beer Drinkers And Hell Raisers", "It's Only Love" and "I Need You Tonight".
Met Billy once. Super nice guy, but man was he hammered! I guess when you're an invited guest of Budweiser there's nothing else to do but sit around at their hospitality compound and eat, drink, bs, and sign autographs. As David Lee Roth would say, "it's good work if you can get it!"
But over the course of their career, ZZ Top is certainly worthy of being one of the greats. And their videos on MTV were always fun, too, and probably helped their record and concert sales as much as anyone else in the 80's.
