Just missing out this week were Dion, Sam Cooke, Ricky Nelson, Otis Redding, Booker T and the MGs, Link Wray, Freddie King, Billy Preston, Dean Martin, Miles Davis, and Willie Nelson. Stay tuned soon for a revamped process that will begin with a nomination round, to be posted shortly.

For the 1990 voting we are changing things up. We will start a two tiered process for each year of voting. A nomination tier and an induction tier. To begin for the nominations you should vote for 15 artists from the lists below, but only a max of 5 can come for the newly eligible artist list. Once the nomination period is over I will post a list of 12 or so nominees that we will then vote on to get 5 inductees. This nomination pool will be open until Christmas to allow for this busy time of year. The eligible list below is lengthy, but not necessarily all inclusive. If you want to vote for somebody not on the lists, feel free as long as they debuted in 1964 or earlier, and after 1940 (and aren't already inducted into our Hall of Fame). If it is a well known name, it is likely that I did not overlook them, but that they just aren't eligible yet by the criteria I am using. Again vote for 15 but a max of 5 from the newly eligible. If you haven't participated before, that's fine, come join in the fun.

:cheers2 This is fantastic. It's truly sad that these two incredible musicians are not in the HOF both for their works as well as their influence on the entire rock music industry.
