I would so totally do the same thing. Just go into an elevator and start dancing to the music. You'll throw so many people off. I want to do it, but im afraid of elevators.
1) TURBOFOLK - It's unique blend of trash disco with use of accordion that traced it's origin in Serbia, every artist have it's solo career - and that artist is usually female with big silicone breast in supersmall skirts. It's the probably worst piece of anti-music my ears have ever heard. It's music to get drunk with, usually talking about romance (often in very dirty, erotic way) - and it's aimed at local redneck, daddy's sons and stupid girls that get pregnant after 17. Balkan, what did you expect?
Example :
2) DISCO/electronic music - I do NOT like electronic music at all. You actually don't have to know how to play any instrument, you just have to mess around fruity loops long enough to make some plain disco music. I absolutely hate those trash disco parties at my local club. That "UHM-TISS" rhythm is brainwashing.
3)RAP - I never liked idea of sampled music and a "gangster" puking his soul out in the mic in less than 30 seconds. I respect their ability to speak fast, but that's anti-music.
4)PUNK - Punk was always plain to me. Similiar riffs and almost identical rhythm in every song, anarahistic and nihilistic lyrics with dead-drunk frontman that's lying in his own puke. I'm rebellious, but could never find myself in that music.
5)METAL- Don't get me wrong, I love Sabbaths and Deep Purple, but that's where my connection with metal ends. I don't like superdemonic voice screaming with guitar in background that's scoring 3000frets/second. It's way more talented than disco, rap and punk, but too furios for my taste.
I know some of you will flame me, but that's just my opinion, what would you expect from a hippie xD ? I respect everyone's taste in music. I dig psych rock, blues, jazz, prog and folk rock. Most of my friends are from punk and metal subculture, we all get along pretty well, until it comes time to choose playlist xD
YEAH ! Magic "Hits it" is called........... "subliminal suggestions"
The "sheep" have absolutely no clue whats being programmed into them from that crap... but unfortunately, its NOT the only format they do this on. :mad
BUT......... its still isnt the worst music style out there,, tho some of you are getting pretty close and picked some really good ones. ;P~
So Ill give you a "clue"... before my father passed away last year (he was 88) he grew up listening to this style of music all his life (why... beats the hell out of me), We as children were force at sunday dinners to listen to KNUJ in New Ulm in Mn. forced to go to Gibbon Mn, Peony Park Neb. and not only listen to it, but watch the so called bands trying desperately to play it.
Techno. It may well have some sort of structure, but I can't hear it. It just seems like chaotic, mindless, repetitive noise to me. And for some reason, the people who like this music can't seem to listen to it without amplifying the bass as much as possible, or turning it up so loud it might as well be coming from the room you are in. And where I live at least, it seems to be some kind of law to only play it, exactly as described above, between the hours of 2am and 7am.
Drum 'n' bass. Like techno, I can't make out any structure, and the lyrics make no sense whatsoever.
Nu-metal. It's seriously annoying to hear the exact same line repeated over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.
Easy listening/country. They're just too soppy and depressing.
That goofy stuff that takes really lame pop songs and then try to to pretend to be "metal", sometimes ( but not always ) even mixing in stupid loops and even scratching .......those bands make me wanna puke.
For me it is elevator music...........Muzak. That is the absolute worst.
It is so bad that most people don't even realize it is playing in the background most times, which is a pretty scary concept because it can carry subliminal suggestions...........
