When Leaves' Eyes new album came out, I went into a major re-listening of all their albums for a while.
I've been doing the same with Within Temptation since Hydra came out. I've been listening to all their albums, pretty much to the exclusion of everything else.
I find we always refer to Enter, Mother Earth & Heart Of Everything a lot and even Unforgiven quite a bit.
The Silent Force doesn't get a lot of mentions, but it's right up there with any other album as far as I'm concerned. It might be their second best album, depending on what you like this band for.
Stylistically, it fits right between the 2 albums it came between release-wise, Mother Earth & Heart Of Everything.
Even the 2 bonus tracks I have, Destroyed (demo) & Jane Doe are really great songs, perfect examples of the best of WT. And of course Somewhere is on here along with the first release of Stand My Ground.
This string of 3 albums include several songs that are not unlike Andrew Lloyd Webber/Tim Rice penned songs for the best of Broadway shows. You could collect just those songs onto a disc of their own.
