Had forgotten this thread and never answered Beatlematt's question.

'Black Sabbath' is definitely my favorite Sabbath lp....unique and iconic. Really like Paranoid but would keep the first over all others by them
Led Zep is a more dfficult call. I was a senior ('69) getting ready to graduate high school and there were 3 or 4 of us that just discovered weed about 6 months earlier and into heavy blues rock music.
We didn't hear the first Zep lp until a month or two after it came out and it blew us away. Nothing quite like that had been done to that extent. We were in awe. It became an iconic lp for all of us and even though we liked all the later things that lp was like a talisman for us.
I think Zep 4 and Grafitti are more musically complete but the first is connected to my friends and our journey so I would keep that one over all the others.
