I've always liked rock and roll which is loud, simple, gritty and distorted. In saying that, I listen to any music with the basic guitar, bass, drums and (mostly) a singer lineup.
Currently, I'm collecting bands associated with heavy-psych, stoner, doom-metal, DIY punk, glam/bonehead/junkshop, new wave and power-pop.
It is hard to be specific on genres, so I like everything that is classic pop, rock and roll and rock. Outside of that, I do like experimental music but probably from the last century, as the contemporary experimental scene is huge. Finally, synth-pop from the late 70s and early 80s is a favourite from my teenage years.
