What's the name of that instrument in the beginning? I love how it makes it sounds so Earthy and soothing. The guitar riff at the intro and outro is haunting, and the instruments also have a great harmonized effect. Pretty good for an instrumental. 7.5/10

Whilst not a physical product, I bought off iTunes Magic Man by Heart. Heard it on Planet Rock late one night and loved it.
Funnily enough though, I reckon I must have been listening to a radio edit because the song I have is over 5 minutes long and on the radio it's nowhere near that long I'm sure of it. I think there are some Heart fans on here and I may get called out on this but it's a magical song, the vocal and lyrics are mind blowing, but it's VERY close IMO to being completely ruined by one of the worst arrangements I've ever heard.
The middle section has some of the most pointless solo's I've ever heard. The Synthesiser turns a sexy / mysterious / grooving rock song and makes it cheesy. I realise that at the time the band didn't know how dated that sound would become [IMO] but it's just totally not in keeping with the song. Had the song been 3 minutes 30 seconds, absolutely spot on.
I don't regret buying it, because the first half is just so good.
I certainly wouldn't describe myself as a Heart fan, I don't like Barracuda for instance, and so don't claim to be an expert on the band or what they're about.
