If most bands on the radio sounded like Amanda Palmer I would feel very good about the future of music.


Take the cheesy early 80's new wave sound of this song and add the cheese of the season and that's a lot of queso going in my ear. It's not explicitly a Christmas song but I could still hear this melding with the holiday rotation in a JC Penny's or something. That association alone hurts this song for me since I'm something of a scrooge. Aside from that nothing really stood out to me. 4 out of 10.

I quite like TEN, Gary Hughes has a great easy to listen to rock voice, I can easily live with that melodic/anthemic stadium rock stuff as long as the songs are well written and arranged, which this one is, I can go to an 8.5/10 here, it was going to be a 7.5 but a 2nd or 3rd play of a track in a thread like this often bumps the score up a bit.

One band I really miss a lot is Oasis, here's what one half of the Gallagher brothers is up to since they split...

Begins with a driving beat. Vocals are a bit thin. Do I hear a mellotron in this song? I like that. There is a certain kind of tension in the composition. However, the song drags on a bit. A decent song though. -7/10
