The entire band is not gay.
Gay, bi sexual....whatever.

You guys are making a big deal out of this.

Think and spin it anyway you want....

but, you're in denial, and don't know it.

Anyway, I find four dudes calling themselves Queen weird.

OK, Next band name.....

Bubble Puppy

And I love this band!

Not sure if it was Randy or Burton's idea, but I believe after they cut their first single they sent it out to radio stations with "Guess Who?" printed on the label to generate interest in the band. The gimmick worked and the name stuck. For better or worse apparently. :D
Yep....it was done by the record label, not the band.

:cheers2

Queen fun fact: A Day At The Races was intended to be the continuation of A Night At The Opera in the grander, conceptual sense.

Pretty clever...but it's still too close to The Who for me...and The Who says the same thing. Who?? :heheh:

But I think I do remember hearing that about Guess Who's name...been awhile...thanks for the fill in.

:cheers2

Though I love this band: Hello.

What the hell kind of name is that?

Also, for the ridiculous shit going on in this thread over Queen. Get over yourselves, damn. It's just a band name. (And a name of a legendary band, at that.)

Yep.

No big deal man....and no spin...if you don't believe that there isn't anything else that the name could mean or imply than oh well. Denial works both ways. Though I haven't seen anyone deny that Freddie's homosexual lifestyle was not a part of the name from anyone here or from Freddie himself.

:heheh:

Again the entire band was not gay or bi-sexual....as far as Freddie being gay? I have no problem with it. :grinthumb

Bubble Puppy. Yes wierd name.

Now is that a dog that blows bubbles?? :heheh: :cheers2

^^Already mentioned that one.:D

Queen

Queensryche

Queens of the Stone Age.

I attach no significance whatsoever to the use of "Queen" as a band name. If Freddie was not so flamboyant and gregarious we would never have thought anything of the band's choice for a name.

Just saw a poll MP put up and I remember the band but Uriah Heep is just a odd name if you ask me.. Heep reminds me of "pile".

We? No offense, but you can't speak for everyone and say it was a fact.

I knew about Queen from my older sister's boyfriend back in the 70's, before ''we'' ever seen Freddie Mercury.

Four dudes in the 70's calling themselves ''Queen'' was a red flag.

I didn't know mentioning ''Queen'' would turn into such a big deal...

but it did....

Anyway....

What about Hootie & The Blowfish....

Hoobastank

And how about '' Twisted *gasp* Sister''

:heheh:
