Vinyl or Cd`s VINYL OR CDS...which is best IYHO.

Vinyls for sound but don't have a player yet so I have a pretty big CD collection.

Vinyl all the way, but I must admit I am very picky about what NEW records I buy now. If you have a decent turntable and a set of ears, you can tell the difference. Besides, the "mechanical" genius of vinyl is hard to refute. No matter what happens, you can play a vinyl record. Not true with the CD's and digital files.

I still have venues where I can get records in the 50 cents to 5 dollar range. I know a lot of these will dry up soon, so I have been increasing my search range. I have a CD collection that rivals or even equals my records. CD's are nice as well, but cannot match the tactile pleasure a record album can.

C.D. will always be the way I go. I'm not an audiophile but I do know that I've owned every medium aside from 8-Tracks and it's the perfect mix of sound, convenience and collectors value/presentation imo.

I have to go for CD's as much as I love vinyl. The new vinyl releases are too pricey for my pocketbook.

Vinyl. But, I really don't own much of Vinyl or CD's. I used to own quite a large collection of both. But, I just don't have the space for all the CDs or vinyl anymore...

Vinyl I have a large collection of both vinyl and cds, but I favour the vinyls by far. Not fond of the new vinyls though because they don't have the atmosphere of the older vinyls.

I would have a hard time buying vinyls because my main source for music is ITunes and you can't import vinyls into ITunes. Pretty stupid reason but that's my main reason for not getting a player and hundreds of records.
