If I'm not mistaken "Women and Children First" was recorded front to back in one with fewer than a handful of overdubs. I think that it turned out so great in that way alone makes it more impressive than "Fair Warning".

man, I just cant chose. I guess I'd compare sides: side 1 very close, maybe slight edge to W&CF. Side 2, slight edge goes to FW. Vibe and old school VH sound goes to W&CF.

so I suppose Women & Children First wins out, just barely.
