Re: Uriah Heep

Good rockin' tune featuring John Lawton before he left the band in 1979.

^^They've done some belters over the years, but for a new fan I would start with "Demon's & Wizard's". It's still my favorite album, and I have all of them.:D

Nolo will be by with his pick I'm sure.

You know right! :D

Demons And Wizards, yes. It is a very magical album, it will tell you what technique this band have. But I would rather go with Look At Yourself first. If I had a chart of my favourite Heep album, this would make it to the top spot.

I must say Dreammare on this one is the coolest version I have ever heard. Funny, cause also it is one of my favourite songs this week. I'd love to buy, but it cost freakin' £69.95!

Re: Uriah Heep

Yeah that would have been my second choice Sox...there is a certain symmetry to starting at the very beginning with a band like Mighty Uriah Heep.:D Even though the line-up has changed enormously over the years they have continued to put out solid albums.

Can't go wrong with Demons or Magician, they have stood the test of time and passed with flying colors, and also have the best cover art of any of the Heep's discography.:cheers2

Re: Uriah Heep

^^ Indeed it is a good album, but not as good as Fallen Angel IMO.

Just listened to Abominog. I still can't get into that era, for me it's sort of Uriah "Foreigner wannabe" Heep. I liked only the opener, Too Scared To Run
