I definitely took the long way 'round to Tori Amos.

Known of her since Little Earthquakes, but in spite of buying LE, UTP, BFP, and FTCGH upon each release, I just wasn't too interested, until an internet search in 2005 for Kate Bush led me to a KB thread on a Tori Amos forum.

When I discovered Tori was still making music, I bought what was then her current release, "The Beekeeper". Well... (swoons) after all those years, I finally "got" it. I immediately bought every album by her I didn't already have, and flung myself headlong into Tori Amos' music, where I remained for a few years. I definitely made up for lost time, and went through some kind of an inner renewal process, too. Tori's music helped me lift myself out of the lowest place I had ever been in, in my whole life.

New Tori album (Native Invader) on the horizon and new single! I love all Tori. I love newer Tori more moderately but this new Tori I love on a higher level than I have in a while. Thoughts from Tori fans? I agree on the sentiments that's it's closest to her style from Scarlets Walk which is a good thing. :)

Tori really came back on form with her Unrepentant Geraldines album, and if the single is anything to go by, her new album is gonna be great as well. It's an unusual song from Tori in that I didn't hear any piano. I love it when she plays the Hammond, it gives her music so much depth :grinthumb
Can't wait for the new album to be released, and hopefully she'll tour here again with it.

So guys, I actually like the followup to Cloud Riders even better and I'm really excited for the album. Second guitar driven track and it's really got a unique blend of strings and guitar plucking. It's got a real energy to it and when it picks up it's even better.

She makes me feel sort of Bevis and Butthead.
Cause she's hot but I know that I'd never get along with her and her hipster feminist friends.
But she's the type of chick that you might meet at a Renaissance fair and have sex with in a portapottie.
And then you'd write a letter to Penthouse that starts out "I never thought this sort of thing could happen to a guy like me but..."
I'm not saying TA would have sex in a poratpottie and surely not with a guy like me.
But the type! The type! That's all I'm saying!
    I did it again.
I always dig myself a hole and I climb right in and then I'm in deep shit.
Sorry I didn't mean to crap on your Tori Amos thread being all Bevis and Butthead.
    I'm going away now.
I feel big and dirty and mean and icky all over.
