Given that the 80's are typically derided as the pantheon of "uncool" that's an interesting result. One thing's for sure, only an absolute fool would say the 60's (Beatles, Stones, Beach Boys, Hendrix, Stax, Motown et al) was the worst decade...thankfully no one has.

One more thing for sure: there is ALWAYS great music and musicians and there is ALWAYS absolute shit. Just need to look for the former and avoid the latter!
