I have a good friend who is a Queen expert, so I reached out to him to see if there's any cross pollination.
I think early things like Slow Motion definitely make good use of vocal harmonies.
I LOVE The Sweet. Obviously, I'm a Desolation Boulevard guy. The whole album is fantastic, and so many of those songs have been covered.
Faves are:

No You Don't by Pat Benatar
The Musikladen videos on Youtube are amazing!
And yes, Mick Tucker is an extremely underrated drummer. I mean, that shuffle thing he does on Into The Night. He's great on I Wanna Be Committed as well.
Personally, I think what Andy Scott is doing with his silver wig is a bit silly, but God love him.
