There is hardly a flat spot on that whole album. What a great band.

Sweet (Official Thread)

Seems like there is no thread about the great 70's rock band Sweet. They were so much more than just The Ballroom Blitz and Fox On The Run.. Sooo underrated!

Brian Connolly - lead vocals (dead 1997)
Steve Priest - bass, vocals
Andy Scott - guitars, vocals
Mick Tucker - drums, vocals (dead 2002)

Mick Tucker is one of the best drummers of all time. He was like an octopus..
Their harmonies and choir-singing was out of this world! :cheers2

If you like classic hard rock you should check out their studio albums:

Sweet Fanny Adams (1974)
Desolation Boulevard (1974) Their best! :cheers2
Give Us A Wink (1976)
Off The Record (1977)
Level Headed (1978)

Tucker is an interesting drummer. He does perhaps the most military/marching band type drumming I've ever heard in rock music.

Great band!

Been years since I listened to any of The Sweet's albums, think I'll play Desolation Blvd later today.

Yeah I'll bet, I have all the early Sweet stuff and a later album without Brian, they were a great band and they were good when I saw them some years ago with Sox. I may have to pick a few of the later ones up if they come cheap:)
