Interesting. My local rock stations played only the Them version of "Gloria" back in the sixties. I first heard the Shadows of Knight version in the soundtrack to "Rumblefish" which I saw at a movie theatre at the Renaissance Center in Detroit.

Same for me - L.A. stations only played the Them version. I only heard about the SON version much later (1980's).

I always liked the shadows of knight and "Gloria" I was always looking for more from them,it was nice to read their history here.

If you guys weren't aware the Shadows of Knight are still touring and performing great shows everywhere today! Just saw Jimy Sohns (the lead singer) make a guest appearance with Bun E. Carlos from Cheap Trick. Great show, and still has the best voice!
