I heard Brown Sugar on the radio today and thought about how many rock bands have been influenced by that song, the style they play, and the band themselves. Quite frankly, in my opinion, the number is close to the number of stars in the sky.

i think its closer to the number of grains of sand on the beach.

just got done listening to "A Bigger Bang" collection (long drive) still the best the boys have released since the "Steel Wheels" collection. I wish they would have done more from this cd when I saw them live a few years ago. Gimme Shelter still their best....

Here's the trailer for the new Stones documentary "Crossfire Hurricane". It will debut in 250 theaters across Europe during it's London Film Festival premiere October 18th. It will go into wide release in November. It looks great.

"Almost Hear You Sigh" from "Steel Wheels" and "Look What The Cat Dragged In" from "Biggerbang" 2 of the best songs they've released from their recent collections.

I think, based on my personal tastes and AURFEE 's advices, some of their best songs are :

- emotional rescue (1980)

- wild horses (1971)

- honky tonk women (1969)

- mother's little helper (1966)

- paint it black (1966)

...

I've been listening to alot of OLD Stones lately. Really love the stuff from 67 to
75 or 6...after that they kinda take the nose dive IMO. But the old material is awesome, gritty, blues rock.
