August 18, 1962 Ringo Starr made his debut with The Beatles at the horticultural society Dance, Birkenhead, England, having had a two-hour rehearsal in preparation. This was the first appearance of The Beatles as the world would come to know them:

John, Paul, George, and Ringo.

On August 22 1969, The Beatles met at John Lennon’s Tittenhurst Park home in England for their final ever photo session. Three shots from this session (by Ethan Russell) formed the front and back covers of the Capitol compilation album Hey Jude.

~ Hey Jude ~

1. "Can't Buy Me Love" – 2:19
2. "I Should Have Known Better" – 2:39
3. "Paperback Writer" – 2:14
4. "Rain" – 2:58
5. "Lady Madonna" – 2:14
6. "Revolution" – 3:21
7. "Hey Jude" – 7:05
8. "Old Brown Shoe" (George Harrison) – 3:16

Nice pictures Garrett.

I was glad that Abbey Roads was preserved, so much excellent music has come out of that studio over the decades it should stand as a monument for the foreseeable future.

Cool Garrett , Abbey Road is on the Things To SEE when in London ' list

A Friend from another site "Andy Jako" turned me onto the Abbey Road site, it`s so cool just to know the history behind that studio...and to be able to watch the crossing live, is awesome!

Don't they hold live shows from the studio for broadcasts or what have you? That is an iconic place in music just like Muscle Shoals, Sunset Studios and The Electric Lady...

^^It's still an active studio from what I know, I was talking about EMI selling it off a few months ago to the highest bidder, even a real estate developer who might have demolished it. It created an outcry and now will stay exactly as it is for the foreseeable future.
